Removing your existing lawn

We recommend defoliating the areas intended for sod by using weed killer. One treatment should completely kill your old lawn.

After treatment you should wait 7 to 10 days before removing the  dead lawn. The waiting period will ensure the treatment has penetraded the root system and that the soil is no longer containated with the treatment.

For lawn removal, we recommend renting a sod cutter from your local rental company.
